Pialist Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Pialist mobile app (the “App”), provided by inciStudio LLC (“we”, “us”). By using the App you agree to these Terms. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

The service

Pialist helps you manage your piano repertoire and practice: a piece library, routines and practice sessions, progress statistics, importing and annotating sheet music, note recognition, a metronome, listening features and MIDI recording.

Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it.

Your content

You keep ownership of the pieces, notes, annotations, recordings and other content you add. You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to provide the App to you. Your content is private to your account.

Sheet music and copyright

Only import, photograph or scan sheet music that you have the right to copy and use. Many scores are protected by copyright. You are responsible for the files you upload. Note recognition is automatic and may contain errors.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse the App: no attempts to access other users’ data or our systems without permission, to interfere with the service, to reverse engineer it except where the law allows, or to use it for anything unlawful.

Ending your use

You can stop using the App and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, and we may change or discontinue features.

Apple App Store

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be excluded.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms and will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept them.
