Yearvana Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 13, 2026
This policy explains how inciStudio LLC (“we”, “us”) handles personal data in the Yearvana mobile app (“Yearvana” or the “App”) on iOS and Android.
Accounts and sign-in
You can use Yearvana as a guest or create an account.
- Guest: we create an anonymous account for you with Firebase Authentication. Your content is stored in the cloud under that anonymous ID. If you delete the App or lose the device, guest data may not be recoverable.
- Email and password: we store your email address and a securely handled password (managed by Firebase Authentication).
- Sign in with Google or Apple: we receive your email address and, if you share them, your name and profile photo. With Apple you can choose to hide your email. Apple sign-in is available on iOS.
When you create an account from a guest session, the guest account is normally upgraded in place and keeps your content. Signing in to an existing account from a guest session may not carry every item over.
Content you create
To provide the App and sync it across your devices, we store the following in Google Cloud Firestore, accessible only to your account:
- goals — title, description, emoji, category, progress, dates, subtasks, reminder settings and progress history;
- habits — title, emoji, question, frequency, target, reminder time, notes and completions;
- moments — name, date, emoji and description;
- mood entries — an emoji for a day and an optional note; and
- custom categories you create.
Reminders are scheduled on your device. The text of a reminder (for example a goal or habit title) is kept in your device’s notification system; we do not send push notifications from a server.
AI goal suggestions
Yearvana may offer to turn what you write during onboarding into suggested goals and habits. This only happens after you agree in the App. If you agree, the text you wrote, your answers to the onboarding questions, today’s date and the App’s language are sent to Google’s Gemini model through Firebase AI Logic. Your name, email and account ID are not sent. The text you wrote is not saved to your account; only the suggestions you choose to add are saved, as normal goals and habits. If you decline, the App offers ready-made templates instead. Suggestions are generated automatically and may be inaccurate.
Subscriptions
Yearvana offers a paid subscription. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never receive your card details. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives your account ID and the purchase and subscription history the stores provide.
Analytics, crash reports and app integrity
- Firebase Analytics: in release builds we record how the App is used — for example screens viewed, and events such as “goal created”, “habit created”, sign-in method used, or paywall shown. These events do not include the text you write, and we do not attach your account ID to them. On Android, Firebase Analytics may also collect your device’s advertising ID. You can reset or delete it in your device settings.
- Firebase Crashlytics: if the App crashes or hits an error, we receive a crash report with technical details such as device model, OS version and the error stack trace.
- Firebase App Check: to protect our services from abuse, the App uses Apple DeviceCheck (iOS) or Google Play Integrity (Android) to confirm requests come from a genuine copy of the App.
- Google Fonts: one onboarding screen downloads a font from Google, which exposes your IP address to Google.
We do not show ads, we do not sell your data, and we do not use your data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Why we use your data
- To provide the App, your account and cloud sync — necessary to perform our agreement with you.
- To generate AI goal suggestions — based on your consent.
- To process subscriptions — necessary to perform our agreement with you.
- To understand usage, fix crashes and protect the service — our legitimate interest in running a reliable App.
Who we share data with
We share data only with service providers that run parts of the App for us, under their own terms:
- Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check, AI Logic / Gemini, Google Sign-In, Google Fonts);
- Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store payments); Google Play (payments on Android); and
- RevenueCat (subscription management).
If you use the share feature, the image you share goes to the app or person you choose. We may also disclose data if required by law.
How long we keep data
We keep your account and content while your account exists. When you delete your account, the content listed above is deleted from our database. Analytics and crash data are kept for the retention periods set in our Firebase project.
Deleting your account and data
- Signed in: Settings → Account → Delete Account. You will be asked to confirm your identity.
- Guest: Help & Support → Delete Guest Account.
This deletes your goals, habits, moments, mood entries, custom categories and your account. It does not delete:
- purchase records held by Apple or Google, or the subscription record held by RevenueCat — cancel your subscription in your App Store or Google Play account first, as deleting your account does not cancel it;
- data stored on your device — uninstall the App to remove it.
You can also request deletion without the App, or ask us to remove any data that remains (including your RevenueCat record), on our data deletion page or by emailing info@incistudio.com.
Security
Your content is stored in Google Cloud Firestore with access rules that allow only your signed-in account to read or change it, and data is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on the data protection laws where you live (for example the GDPR in the EU and UK), you can ask us to:
- access the personal data we hold about you, or receive a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- object to or restrict certain processing; and
- withdraw consent you have given, at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
Email us to make a request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
International transfers
Our service providers, including Google (Firebase) and, where used, RevenueCat, may process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. These providers apply their own contractual and technical safeguards for such transfers.
Children
Yearvana is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will take reasonable steps to let you know before it applies.
